# Project Medusa

> Project Medusa is a browser-based publishing tool built from daily practice: typesetting, typography, prepress, approval and animation – together, with nothing to install. Made by Jens Riedweg (Switzerland). The app runs at https://medusa.id42.xyz; this site is https://id42.xyz/.

Project Medusa is a collaborative desktop-publishing application in the browser, similar in scope to professional layout software: multi-page documents, paragraph and character styles, master pages, CMYK and spot colours, prepress checks and vector PDF/X-4 export, plus real-time collaboration, comments, approval links, animation and HTML5 ads. It can import and export IDML and open PDF files for editing. Version 2026-09-21.
