The additional checks compare page count with the binding and count the intended spot colours. In a stitched magazine, this exposes an unsuitable page count or an extra printing plate. Other findings cover placeholder copy, objects near the trim edge and references to missing page destinations or text anchors. You can also mark characters missing from the selected font on the page. Correct the reported locations before export, since the report does not replace copy or characters automatically.

How to do it

  1. Open «File › Preflight …».
  2. Review findings about pages, colours and references.
  3. Use a finding to jump to its location.
  4. For font problems, enable «View» › «Mark missing characters».
