Print and accessibility in one file

The combined output preset joins a print PDF with a structure tree for accessible reading. For a municipal brochure, prepare one file for printing and accessible distribution. The PDF carries the print profile as its output intent and organises content in the structure tree. Medusa checks PDF/X-4 and PDF/UA on the same finished file and writes only the identifications that pass. This preset retains bookmarks.

How to do it

1. Open «File › Export …».
2. Under «PDF preset», choose «Print and accessible (PDF/X-4 + PDF/UA)».
3. Check page range, bleed and marks.
4. Click «Export» and read both check results.

Limits

This preset omits links, forms and comments and provides no independent PDF/X certification.
