Tooltips everywhere, with shortcuts; switch them on or off and set the delay

Tooltips explain controls when you let the pointer rest over them. Where a shortcut exists, the hint shows it too. You can disable hints or adjust their delay. When learning an agency layout workflow, they help identify unfamiliar icons while you work. The default is 600 milliseconds, with a range from 0 to 2000 milliseconds in steps of 100.

How to do it

1. Open Edit › Settings … and General.
2. Turn Show tooltips on or off as needed.
3. Set Delay and test a hint over a control.

Limits

Tooltips do not appear during touch interaction.
