Where to find itFont › Character

You can scale characters horizontally or vertically, skew them and give them a stroke or background. Underline and strikethrough have their own weight, offset and colour settings. In a magazine, you can design a text emphasis and control its distance from the type. For small caps, Medusa uses the font’s genuine forms when available and synthesises them otherwise. The settings belong to the text and can be reused through character styles. The editor and PDF set the same character shapes and positions.

How to do it

  1. Select the text you want to edit.
  2. Open Window › Text › Paragraph & Character.
  3. Set the character values and the emphasis you need.
  4. Check the line breaks on the page.
