You attach a comment to an object to identify the location concerned. In a catalogue, a question about an item number can sit directly on its text frame. An @-mention addresses a person explicitly rather than merely writing their name in the comment. The person mentioned receives an email if they have these notifications enabled. Replies stay with the comment and keep the correction discussion together.
How to do it
- Select the object concerned.
- Open Window › Comments.
- Write the comment and select the intended person after @.
- Send the comment.
