You assign conditions to passages and switch their visibility in the document. Named condition sets store combinations of several conditions. In a publisher’s brochure, you can keep regional details or short and long wording within the same text. Hidden passages occupy no space in composition, so the remaining text closes up. They are also absent from PDF, PNG and SVG output. Check which condition set is active before each output.

How to do it

1. Select the text you want to edit.
2. Open Window › Text › Conditional text.
3. Create a condition and assign it to the selected passage.
4. Turn the condition on or off and check text flow.

Tips

• Check overset again after switching conditions.
