Where to find itObject › Place › Formula …
You enter a formula in LaTeX notation and see a preview as you type. Fractions, roots, sums and integrals can therefore be placed as typeset formulas in the document. In a textbook, you can edit an equation without first importing it as an image from another program. You can adjust the formula’s font and size in the layout. In the PDF, the formula remains a vector representation, so its lines and characters do not turn into pixels when enlarged.
How to do it
- Choose Object › Place › Formula …
- Enter the formula in LaTeX notation.
- Check the preview and click Place.
