Output automation groups recurring exports in a workflow. Define presets and filenames with variables, such as separate names for print and web files. For an agency handling several language versions, one run creates a file per version or condition. Alternatively, a PDF can contain all language versions as switchable layers. Batch output handles multiple documents, and a history shows results and reported preflight findings.

How to do it

  1. Open «File › Book and output › Plan output …».
  2. Create a workflow with «New».
  3. Use «Add output» and set «PDF preset» and «File name».
  4. Use «Add version» to set layers and conditions for each version.
  5. Start with «Output» and review «History …» afterwards.

Limits

Accessible or imposed PDF output includes only the displayed language version.
